Why we do this...

Why?  Why do we do this?

As a teenager, we live in the moment.  The present is all we have and we can't see much further past our wants.  We love what we love at that time and it consumes us... the unfortunate thing about what we love so much or what we allow to consume us are those that we surround ourselves with.

Surround yourself with good people.  People that take pride in themselves and their actions, have goals, and make their mark by wanting the best out of the situation.  Positive people make positive actions happen!

You may not realize it right now, but this is the absolute only time in your life that you have to take advantage of a program.  A program that improves you as a high school athlete and also a person.  A program that pushes you as hard as you allow yourself to be pushed, a program that challenges you mentally and physically, and a program that will make you successful if you decide to take the full advantage of it.
We push you, we want you to see what we see: potential & possibility.
We push you because we know that sometimes you forget that you only get one chance at this.
We push you because you are worth it to us and we want you to take advantage of what you have, especially at this point in life...  because nothing like this happens after high school.
Sports change..
.. maybe you play in college, a recreational league, city league, or maybe the next time you get after it in the sport you love it is years down the road.  No matter what: it isn't the same.

That is WHY we do this.  We work hard now at what we may never get a chance to prove ourself in.. we challenge our body to get comfortable being uncomfortable in order to grow.

We push you to do this because we know you can and we know that the perseverance you gain in being committed and challenging yourself in high school athletics and weightlifting will continue to influence you even after you leave LHS.

We challenge you to make it happen!
